The First Stage Water Filter
The first stage of iSpring WCB32O whole house water filter system is a sediment water filter. iSpring FP25 Multi-layer filtration allows for fewer clogs and minimal pressure loss. This water filter is specially designed to remove sediments, dust, sand, large particles, silt, dirt, and rust that can clog the filters that follow.
The Second & Third Stages Water Filters
The second and third stages of the iSpring WCB32O whole home water filter system are carbon water filters. iSpring FC25 carbon block water filter uses high-quality coconut shell carbon and highly compact fabrication tech for maximum filtration efficiency and filter life. It filters up to 30,000 gallons of water (or lasts up to 6 months). Two CTO water filters combined to deeply remove up to 99% of chlorine from water, as well as color, cloudiness, and various taste and odor compounds.

Q: With this whole house system, do I still need to install a water softener if my water is very hard?
A: Yes, a water softener is needed if your source water has a high level of hardness, usually with TDS higher than 700 PPM. Hard water can reduce the lifespan of whole house water filter cartridges. The harder the water, the greater amount of scale buildup occurs, and the sooner the filters get clogged.
It is recommended that you install this WCB32O whole home water filtration system after your water softener to achieve optimal performance if you have hard water.

First off, shout out to Don who works at ispring for helping me out. All support credit goes to him. TL;DR - Great Unit, Don at iSpring was extremely excellent, if I had a chance to do-over, i might have gone for the bigger unit (most likely will if I ever replace this one) I bought this unit in 2019, but didn't install it until I moved into my current house. Boy oh boy was it a nightmare getting in. I'm a DIYer and love a good challenge. I'll spare my details, but basically I had to change where I mounted it because of the location of the water line coming in and the space around it. Note* I did not install a bypass, but rather an inline-leg. So to change the filters I have to shut the water off at the house. I'm fine with that, but others may not be. Once installed tho, the water chambers filled nicely. Water started flowing. About 2 mins later, the unit started leaking at the in/out female connector. That was my fault, not enough Teflon. But the male/male connectors in between also started dripping. I called support and spoke with Don who was very informative and helpful. He suggested different Teflon (Blue Monster - excellent stuff more on that later). He was also shocked about the leak in between the filters so he said he would send a replacement head unit. Unit arrived and unfortunately it was a new model type where the filters were closer together so I had to cut my pipe up a bit to make it fit. Teflon Blue Monster, YMMV, but I put 6 wraps on it and put the male connector in, then backed it out to put 4 more wraps on it. The 6 wraps formed this nice plastic sheath/coating on the male connector so I knew it would make an excellent seal this time (the original Teflon I used was like 4 wraps of cheap lowes stuff, and it disintegrated as it came out). New unit in place, turn the water back on. No leaks on the in/out connection. However, the male/male connector in between the filter did start to have water form up. I took pictures and sent them over to Don. I opted for compensation of 1 set of new filters as I would rather not have to install another head unit. IF/When the leak progresses , I'll see if I can wrap the connector units with blue monster as well. Water taste is great, I love that it's 0 waste and the whole house has nice clean water. It's so comforting to know that even my toilets are filled with purified filtered gold. Hopefully this is helpful. If you take nothing else away, know that my case is unique. I don't think it happens often. But iSpring WILL take very good care of you.

We use this system in our fifth wheel RV. Traveling to many different locations, the water isn't always the best quality and in some cases we encountered heavy iron sediment. As you can see by the pic, we installed a pre filter for the filter, which catches all the big stuff, saving the filters. So our water tastes great, our showers "feel" better and clothes wash nicely. We also installed the RO system the company offered with an alkaline filter which makes our water taste fantastic. Heavy metal filters are also available for this size filtration system on the web. I needed an O ring for one of the tubes and Nick in customer service sent it right out.

I ordered this for healthier water and as a prerequisite to installing a tankless water heater. Everything went OK with the install except for a small, slow leak at the 3/4” NPT inlet fitting. I contacted Nick at iSpring and explained the situation and iSpring sent out a new filter head assembly quickly. No leaks this time and the unit works as designed. Would buy again.

Installation was relatively simple, as long as you have basic plumbing skills. I built a wooden panel to mount the system, because it was difficult to mount it on my stone basement wall. The only complaint I have is that the system leaked between the cartridges. I had to take it apart and rewrap it with the teflon tape. The unit does remove the particles and sediment that our city water is noted for. I would recommend this product as my son recommended to me. Well worth the money.

Very pleased with quality of product. Ease of installation. Great filtration of my water. My only worry is when summer comes I am not sure if the system can handle our hot tap water.
