This meter measures Conductivity as well as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and Temperature. I tested the meter against 2 known standards (Ricca Conductivity Standard, 1000 umhos at 25 Deg C / 495 ppm TDS as NaCl) and Environmental Express TDS Standard, 138 mg/L at 25 Deg C). It was surprisingly accurate; The Ricca Conductivity Standard came in at 1000 umhos for conductivity (100% recovery), and 500/495 ppm TDS (101% recovery). The Environmental Express TDS Standard came in at 138/138 mg/L TDS (100% recovery). It comes with a lifetime warranty, so even if the recovery does start to decline it sounds like you can send it in for repair/replacement. Id recommend checking it frequently against a known standard. My only complaint (and its a minor one!) is that the shape of the probe makes it really easy for air bubbles to stick against the electrodes. You have to make sure to tap the meter against a hard surface to break all the bubbles. This isnt a big deal, but it can be a pain especially if your sample is in a small beaker.I received this meter at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
