- [Protect Your Family and Household Appliance from Iron, Manganese, and More] Our filter (FM25B) is specially designed for iron & manganese removal, reducing iron (MAX 3.0 ppm down to 0.01 ppm) and manganese (MAX 1.0 ppm down to 0.01 ppm). The filter set also removes sediment, chlorine, rust, herbicides, industrial solvents, and various other contaminants.
- [DIY Installation and Maintenance] Refer to our manual and our helpful YouTube videos for DIY installation. Water flow: up to 15 GPM. Our filter set fits standard 20” x 4.5” housings, including brand name models.
- The first stage high capacity polypropylene sediment filter is able to achieve filtration down to 5 micron. The second stage CTO Carbon Block filter is made of coconut shell carbon to increase filtration efficiency and extend filter life. Both are tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards. Both filters have a capacity of 100,000 gallons of water, enough to supply a family of four with clean water for a full year.

For well/pond water with very high iron/manganese please contact us for customized solutions. Unlike an RO membrane, the filters don’t reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). We had a definite smell to our water and this completely takes it out. It will take the smell out for 5 month so I now replace the carbon filter every 4 months. I had a comprehensive water test done and given our level of iron and our water usage rate and data on the filter I figured the iron cartridge should last for a year and it did. Before this iron filter I would have to treat the water heater every 2-3 months to get rid of the iron bacteria but with this iron filter it went a year with out needing hydrogen peroxide treatment. Out system had a pre-filter which is in the upper right in the picture and now I load that with the highest micron value I can find since this filter has a sediment filter. I looked at Pelican water for the carbon filter and it was way more expensive and to swap the media you had to tote it outside and back flush it but iSpring is just a cartridge swap. I give install 4 stars because that swap can spill a lot of water even if you are careful so it can be a little messy. I assume the cartridge is a little more expensive than how Pelican water does it but I don't need to take the whole system outside as is required with the Pelican water carbon filter.
